UP STF busts racket extracting money from TET candidates

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) have exposed a gang that was planing to influence the Teacher`s Eligibility Test (TET) exam to take place on October 15, 2017.

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) have exposed a gang that was planing to influence the Teacher`s Eligibility Test (TET) exam to take place on October 15, 2017. After getting a tip-off that some anti-socials are taking money from candidates against question papers by using some electronic devices. 

Acting on the tip-off the STF conducted a raid across various cities including Allahabad and Lucknow. A case has been registered under section 420/409/467/468/471 at  Georgetown police station, Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. 

Senior police officers had been following the matter closely and had deputed officials from STF Lucknow who kept a close vigil on the suspects and finally nabbed the two accused Surendra Paul and KL Patel.  Prima facie evidences revealed that both had been indulged into taking money from TET candidates. One of the accused - KL Patel has been a history sheeter as he has served jail term for the infamous VYAPAM scam in Madhya Pradesh.

The police is conducting raids to trace more such rackets functioning under disguise.
