Residents to get treatment for only Rs 5 at this newly inaugurated dental clinic in Ambala Cantonment

AMBALA: The Ambala Cantonment Board ( ACB ) has inaugurated dental clinic at the dispensary in cantonment area.The dental clinic at the Board Dispensary will facilitate the residents with dental surgery and treatment of other oral diseases at a nominal charges of Rs 5. President ACB, Brigadier SS Sidhu inaugurated the dental clinic at the dispensary.The residents of the Ambala Cantonment said they were happy to have the much awaited dental clinic. He added that this dental clinic would benefit thousands of the residents of Ambala Cantonment area.Ajay Baweja, vice president, ACB said that their motive was to provide modern facilities of healthcare to the general public as in India, the people did not take care of their oral hygiene as compared to the foreign countries. Ajay added they were going to start medical check-ups from the schools in Ambala Cantonment so the nation's future was healthy.Ajay said Dr SK Khindria was an experienced doctor and he would provide his services to the clinic on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the morning hours of the day. The Ministry of Defence had taken a step forward to provide better healthcare services to the needy citizens, they said.Brigadier SS Sidhu said it was the result of hard work done by all the officials and employees of the board that the Ambala Cantonment was moving forward in the direction of becoming a smart cantonment.The chief executive officer of ACB, Varun Kalia said in the coming time the board would do more work towards providing modern healthcare services to the citizens.Dr SK Khindria, resident Ambala Cantonment, ex-professor, Patiala Government Dental College and a well-known dental surgeon will operate this dental clinic at the board dispensary.Dr SK Khindria said only the patients suffering from oral diseases would be treated for only Rs 5 and if need be the treatments like cleaning, root-canal, etc would be done.
