BATHINDA: A youth from Ludhiana was found dead on the Ring Road here in the wee hours of Thursday. Morning walkers found the body lying on the road and informed the police. The victim identified as Rupinder Singh (22) had a bullet injury in his head. A bullet was also lying near the body.Eyewitnesses said while on their morning walk on the outer Ring Road towards Malout side they found the body lying along the roadside. They informed the police, which reached the site in a few minutes. On searching the body, an Aadhaar card was found from the trousers of the victim in which his name and address was mentioned. The body was taken to Bathinda civil hospital.Bathinda DSP (city) Gurjeet Singh Romana said it seemed someone had killed the victim and dumped the body on the road. “A bullet was also found lying near the body. Some of his friends from Ludhiana have been called for investigations while a case under charges of murder has been registered against unknown persons,” he added.
