Referendum 2020 has no takers: Manish Tewari

Ludhiana: Congress leader and former Union minister Manish Tewari on Wednesday said the Referendum 2020 had no takers in Punjab or anywhere else and was a desperate bid by a few people to remain in news for one reason or the other.The former Ludhiana MP who was in city, while replying to a question on the issue said that the ISI has been trying to stoke trouble in India right since Pakistan’s defeat in the 1971 war and it has never given up since then.On the issue of forming united opposition alliance in 2019, he expressed confidence that the alliance would fructify in the form of state-level seat adjustments across India.Second visit by the former Union minister to Ludhiana in last 10 days has led to speculation that the former MP may be warming up to pitch for his candidature for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
