I would check who was the doctor on duty before they were discharged," Brar added. "We were discharged even though Amardeep is still unable to stand and walk without the help of two people," said Khusdeep. Medical superintendent Bhupinder Singh Brar has refuted the allegation. After being discharged from the hospital, Amardeep said doctors did not to treat them properly in the last two days before they were asked to leave. "Amardeep is still wriggling with pain in the abdomen and his private parts. Denying the claims, Brar said it was not at all possible that the doctor on duty did not consult a specialist or urologist regarding the matter.

PATIALA: A Sikh youth, who was allegedly tortured in illegal custody at Sanaur police station near here on August 9, alleged on Sunday that he had been forcibly discharged by doctors at Government Rajindra Hospital.Amardeep Singh, who has been advised surgery for injuries suffered in the torture , claimed that doctors asked him and another victim, Nitin Mehra, to leave as it had become difficult to deal with the large number of people visting them at the hospital. Medical superintendent Bhupinder Singh Brar has refuted the allegation. After being discharged from the hospital, Amardeep said doctors did not to treat them properly in the last two days before they were asked to leave. Khushdeep, a friend of Amardeep, said doctors refused to show them any medical documents and told them that the file would be given to them only when they left the hospital. "We were discharged even though Amardeep is still unable to stand and walk without the help of two people," said Khusdeep. "Amardeep is still wriggling with pain in the abdomen and his private parts. We doubt if blood tests of Amardeep would come clean as there seems to be a lot of pressure on the police and doctors," he added. He said though the medical report stated that Amardeep needed surgery as hair around his private parts had been plucked, no doctor guided them about how to go about the procedure. Denying the claims, Brar said it was not at all possible that the doctor on duty did not consult a specialist or urologist regarding the matter. "He might have consulted senior doctors. There is no pressure on us. I would check who was the doctor on duty before they were discharged," Brar added.
