According to police, Karamjeet Joga, the mastermind, along with Harpreet Singh and Rajwinder Raju had tried to rob the employees of a cash management service, but had failed.Thereafter, they approached Rohit and Rana with the help of Pawanjeet Singh.Police commissioner Sukhchain Singh Gill said ever since he left the job, Joga had been planning to commit robberies with the help of Bhuvnesh. He asked Bhuvnesh to provide a tip-off about the cash and timing. The accused in a week made three attempts, but they failed every time due to wrong timing or lack of courage.“That day, Rohit, Rana, Pawanjeet, Harpreet and Rajwinder executed the robbery while Bhuvnesh gave them tip-off and Joga remained out of picture. The accused had no plan to open fire at employees — Karanveer Singh and Manpreet Singh — of cash management service.
