After I-T survey, garment firm surrenders Rs 64 Lakh

LUDHIANA: A day after the I-T department started a survey on a garment firm, the owners of the firm surrendered Rs 64 lakh as their undisclosed income. The survey, which was disrupted on Wednesday by some businessmen and workers, concluded in evening.A senior I-T official said, “The company has surrendered an undisclosed income of Rs 64 lakh. Income-tax of Rs 49 lakh (approx.) We have also found some incriminating documents and evidence which need to be probed.” will be levied on this amount as per the I-T Act.
