Teachers refuse to withdraw protest as government delays decision

He said earlier, in April, this year, when they held a meeting with the CM, he had himself endorsed their demands and stated that his government will put in an honest effort to resolve the issues.Didar Singh Mudki, morcha’s convener, said teachers were unmoved by the promise made by the CM that the issue would be taken up in the state assembly during the next winter session. PATIALA: With Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday claiming that the government was trying its best to address the problems of the teachers and other Adhoc employees and would take up the matter during the winter session of the state assembly, the teachers who have been protesting in Patiala for the last nine days refused to withdraw their agitation.The teachers under the banner of Sanjha Adhiyapak Morcha said it was nothing short of a complete refusal by the chief minister to consider their demands.
