LUDHIANA: Day after the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) expelled two of its senior leaders, Lok Insaf Party (LIP) MLA Balwinder Bains claimed that many taksali (veteran) Akali leaders were in contact with his party. "They have expelled five taksali leaders and more will be thrown out. Those with a conscience will not remain in the SAD. It is difficult for them to stay in 'Akali Dal Badal' because it is not Shiromani Akali Dal," he said."They are realizing that instead of speaking in people's court, Badals spoke in closed rooms. Anyone who speaks out, Badals will pack their bags," said Bains. "Many leaders of SAD are preparing to leave the party and to serve people of Punjab. We welcome them," the MLA said.Bains said the expelled taksali leaders did not face any damage, but nothing had remained of Akali Dali. He said a new Akali Dal will emerge with time and "the father, son, daughter-in-law and relatives, will meet their fate".Reacting to summons being issued by the SIT, probing sacrilege incidents, to former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and SAD president Sukhbir Badal, Bains said the cat was out of the bag. "I suggest the father-son Badal duo to admit to being responsible for Bargari firing and sacrilege incidents," he said.
