Factory worker stabbed to death

A week after three goons carjacked an Ola cab driver after booking the service from a snatched mobile, two motorcycle-borne assailants stabbed factory worker to death and took away his phone on Sunday night.The deceased - Keshav Kumar, 22, of Salem Tabri - worked at NS Clothing factory at Bahadurke Road. Along with his two friends - Mahesh Kumar and Jatin Kumar - Keshav was walking back home while talking over the phone when two motorcyclists asked him to hand over his phone to them around 8.30pm. When Keshav resisted, they stabbed him twice - in chest and stomach - and fled after taking away his device near a fuel station at Bahadurke Road.Jatin said, "After finishing factory work, we were on way home. Keshav was ahead of us. When we saw two bikers attacking him, we rushed towards him. But by then, the assailants had fled."With the help of passers-by, Mahesh and Jatin took a profusely bleeding Keshav to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.Salem Tabri SHO inspector Vijay Kumar said the police registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC against two unidentified accused on Monday and were scanning the CCTV cameras installed in the area.When asked if the accused belonged to any particular gang, the SHO said, "The possibility cannot be ruled out. The CCTV footage will make things clear."
