JALANDHAR: Former leader of opposition in Punjab assembly and dissident AAP MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has asked chief minster Captain Aamrinder Singh to clarify his stand on the likely elevation of Kamal Nath as chief minister of Madhya Pradesh arguing that the senior Congress leader Nath is a key suspect in the 1984 massacre of Sikhs in Delhi.“Kamal Nath’s presence outside Rakabganj Gurudwara near Parliament during the massacre was confirmed not only by a journalist but also by two senior police officers - commissioner Subhash Tandan, and additional commissioner Gautam Kaul. Even Nanawati Commission questioned him and termed his reply vague. There is enough evidence against him to be prosecuted but for all these years he was saved by Congress and then BJP also did little in this regard,” said Khaira.“Will Captain Amarinder Singh , who does not even blink when he maligns Sikh politicians of Canada on the directions of his bosses in Delhi, will now show the courage to speak out on the issue. He should remember that evidence against Kamal Nath is much stronger than what he had anything against Canadian defence minister Harjit Singh Sajjan. Notably, till date, Captain has not presented even an iota of evidence against him,” Khaira argued.Mounting his attack further on the Punjab CM, Khaira said that now recently he “pretended grandstanding” on issue of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor by opposing it.“CM has been claiming that he has his own views on every issue. Now I ask him to show spine and give his views on Kamal Nath. Will he dare to ask Congress chief Rahul Gandhi not to name Kamal Nath as Madhya Pradesh CM ,” Khaira asked.
