I am sure my claim for Patiala ticket will be considered by the party high command in light of these facts,” he said. “My family and I have given everything to the Congress and have been working relentlessly for its success. It is the prerogative of the party leadership at Delhi to announce the tickets and whatever decision they will take, it will be acceptable to me,” Nabha said. PATIALA: Even as chief minister Amarinder Singh has virtually sought Congress workers’ support for his wife Preneet Kaur , who is likely to contest the 2019 parliamentary elections from Patiala seat, the party’s Amloh MLA Randeep Singh Nabha has reiterated his claim on the party ticket for the seat. The three-time Congress MLA has cited the party policy of ‘one ticket to one family’ policy that had been adopted during the last assembly elections to strike a balance of power amongst the party leaders. Randeep, who used to contest from Nabha and has a strong hold on the constituency, had to shift to Amloh constituency after the Nabha seat was reserved following the delimitation of constituencies in 2012.During the 2014 elections, both Capt Amarinder and Preneet had tried to bury the differences with the MLA following the intervention of the then in-charge of party affairs in Punjab Shakeel Ahmed.
