Ludhiana: Members of the Namdhari sect carried out a cleanliness drives at Pakhowal Road on Tuesday near Dugri bridge. More than 1,000 members were present during the drive on Sunday.Harbhajan Singh, a member of the sect, said that they will continue the drive as they want the residents to minimize the use of plastic. Fourteen-year-old Ratan Singh said that he wished the city is cleaned as soon as possible and he joined the drive to help with the initiative. The sect head Satguru Uday Singh also participated in the cleanliness campaign and urged the residents to keep the city clean.Uday Singh appealed the public to segregate wet and dry waste at their homes. To lead a healthy life, it is important to keep one’s surrounding clean, he said.
