Unaccounted cash: Punjab cops hand over 6 persons to I-T department

The persons along with recovered currency were handed over to Enforcement Directorate vs Income Tax Department (Investigation wing), for the further Investigation. Road (Alour) Khanna on Wednesday.Police said that during Checking, police saw a white colour Swift Desire Car coming from Gobindgarh side. LUDHIANA: Khanna police on Wednesday handed over 6 persons to Income tax department after it recovered Rs 62.30 lakh of “unaccounted” money from them in two separate cases.In The first case, police party was checking suspected vehicles and persons at a check post near Pristine Mall G.T. He added that while checking of the car, police recovered Rs 49,80000 and they along with cash were handed over to Enforcement Directorate vs Income Tax Department (Investigation wing), for the further investigation.In the second case, police party was checking the suspected vehicles and persons at the checkpost near Pristine Mall G.T. The car driver identified himself as Gurav of Badohad (U.P) whereas other persons in the car included Ashu Goyal and Raj Kumar, both of Mohalla Aggarwal Colony Patana road Badohad District Bagwat (U.P).A Police officer said that during checking the car, police party recovered Rs 12,50000 from the vehicle.
