PAU Centre beat New GMT XI by 109 runs

BCM PREMIER CRICKET LEAGUE (U-16)Sports CorrespondentLudhiana, June 15The PAU Centre defeated New GMT XI by 109 runs in the first match of the inaugural edition of the BCM Premier Cricket League (U-16) that started at BCM Senior Secondary School, Sector 32 here on Saturday. Batting first, PAU Centre scored 195 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Samarath Mehra top scored with 51 runs off 49 balls, followed by Manas who contributed 36 runs and Vansh Masand who made 35 runs in 18 balls. For New GMT XI, Karan grabbed four wickets for 37 runs in four overs while Abhey took one wicket after giving away 20 runs in as many overs. Chasing the target, New GMT XI could muster 86 runs in 18.1 overs in which Abhey chipped in with 25 runs and Gautam made 20 runs.

Pricnipal, DP Guleria declared the tournament open in which eight teams are taking part. Batting first, PAU Centre scored 195 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Samarath Mehra top scored with 51 runs off 49 balls, followed by Manas who contributed 36 runs and Vansh Masand who made 35 runs in 18 balls. For New GMT XI, Karan grabbed four wickets for 37 runs in four overs while Abhey took one wicket after giving away 20 runs in as many overs. Chasing the target, New GMT XI could muster 86 runs in 18.1 overs in which Abhey chipped in with 25 runs and Gautam made 20 runs. For the winning side, Saransh Ohri scored a hat-trick, claiming three wickets for nine runs in three oves. Other successful bowlers were Sehaj and Rohan who captured three and one wicket respectively.
