Take benefits of govt schemes, says Bassi Pathana MLA

The camp was organised under the guidance of the Bassi Pathana MLA and chaired by Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner Dr Parshant Kumar Goel. The MLA in his address appealed to the people to get benefits of the government schemes in large numbers. He also appealed to the officials to make people aware of the schemes and get benefit. The MLA said the developement of the area was his main agenda and the road repair work was in full swing. The DC gave information that about 37,000 persons had benefited from these schemes in the district so far.

Our Correspondent Khamano, June 21 A district-level camp under the Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna was organised at Khamano in which a number of needy persons of the area participated and give applications to the departments concerned. The camp was organised under the guidance of the Bassi Pathana MLA and chaired by Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner Dr Parshant Kumar Goel. The MLA in his address appealed to the people to get benefits of the government schemes in large numbers. He also appealed to the officials to make people aware of the schemes and get benefit. The MLA said the developement of the area was his main agenda and the road repair work was in full swing. DC Dr Parshant Kumar Goel in his address stated that officials should work hard to implement government schemes so that maximum benefit could be given to needy persons. The DC gave information that about 37,000 persons had benefited from these schemes in the district so far. SDM, Khamano, Jashanpreet Kaur gave information that about 804 applications of different departments were received today during the camp out of which 104 were given benefits on the spot while 66 were rejected and others were sent to departments concerned for further action. Saplings were distributed to the people on the spot by officials of the administration. ADC (D), Fatehgarh Sahib, Jagwinder Singh Sandhu, district general secretary Surinder Singh Ramgarh, state secretary Harbans Singh Pandher and other local Congress leaders and officials of different departments concerned were present.
