1,500 get registered for govt welfare schemes

Ludhiana, June 21For the identification of eligible beneficiaries who can avail maximum benefits of the Punjab Government’s welfare schemes, the district administration organised a district-level camp under Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojana (MGSVY) at Jasmine Palace, Jagraon Road, Sidhwan Bet, here on Thursday. During the camp, more than 1,500 people got themselves registered as beneficiaries under various schemes. The Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, informed that the camp was attended by various government departments. He informed that these departments identified eligible beneficiaries and filled their forms on the spot so that a large number of people could take benefit of the government’s welfare schemes.
