The suspect runs courier business, has two daughters Ludhiana, July 13 A 30-year-old man, who runs a courier business, held a 19-year-old girl captive at his home and repeatedly raped her for two days. The matter came to light when the girl escaped from the house and narrated her ordeal before her parents and the police. The suspect, identified as Kamlesh Sahni, a resident of Basant Nagar, has been arrested. He has three children, including two girls. The victim recently completed her plus two. “When I was a student, Kamlesh, who is my neighbour, visited our house as my father has good relations with him. I also visited his house to play with his children. One day I went to his house to meet his children and found he was alone at home. When I asked him about his children, he dragged me inside the room and raped me,” said the victim. She also alleged that the suspect threatened that if she revealed anything to the police, he would kill her parents and brothers. She returned home but did not reveal anything to her parents out of fear. “On July 9 when I was standing outside my house, Kamlesh again forced me to come to his house. Fearing threat to my family, I went to his house where he locked me inside the room and repeatedly raped me. He did not allow me to go back home and kept me inside the room for two days. On July 11 around 3.30 am when Kamlesh was asleep, I found an opportunity and escaped. I returned home and narrated my ordeal before my parents,” the victim told the police.
