Abetment to suicide: 2 cases registered

Ludhiana, July 17Two cases of abetment to suicide were reported from different parts of the district. In the first case, the police have booked four residents of Tajpur village after a 34-year-old taxi driver committed suicide by consuming poison. In another case, a 30-year-old man of Baddowal committed suicide by consuming poison on Tuesday. Due to dispute, his son committed suicide, he said. The accused have been identified as Gurmeet Kaur, Avtar Singh and Jarnail Singh of Bhaini Dera village.

Ludhiana, July 17 Two cases of abetment to suicide were reported from different parts of the district. In the first case, the police have booked four residents of Tajpur village after a 34-year-old taxi driver committed suicide by consuming poison. The deceased has been identified as Gurvinder Singh of Tajpur. He was admitted to the hospital on Monday but died on Tuesday. After recovering a suicide note, the police have started probe into the matter. The accused have been identified Parvinder Singh, Jeeta Singh, Shivdin Rana and a driver. Deceased’s brother Amandeep Singh said the accused were causing mental harassment to his brother. Thus, his brother was forced to take the extreme step. Gurvinder has left behind his wife and two children. The accused are yet to be arrested. In another case, a 30-year-old man of Baddowal committed suicide by consuming poison on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Sajjan Singh. Deceased’s father Darshan Singh said his son’s wife often wanted to go to her parents’ home. Due to dispute, his son committed suicide, he said. The Dakha police have registered a case against his wife and in-laws. The accused have been identified as Gurmeet Kaur, Avtar Singh and Jarnail Singh of Bhaini Dera village.
