Sushil Kumar, director education, motivated the students them to go beyond classroom teaching and participate in as many extra-cirricular activities as they can. Talent hunt marks TeejRamgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, echoed with liveliness as a talent hunt was organised to mark the festival of Teej. Rajinder Kaur also motivated students and said balance of academics and co-curricular activities helped students to achieve desirable success. Games act ice-breaker at orientationThe Gulzar group of Institutes organised ‘Parichay’, an orientation programme, during which cultural atctivies and games were organised to break the ice between the new students and faculty.

Sushil Kumar, director education, motivated the students them to go beyond classroom teaching and participate in as many extra-cirricular activities as they can. As many as 31 events such as collage-making, installation, cartooning, clay modeling, poster-making, painting competition, spot photography, debate, elocution, essay and poem writing and short story writing among others marked the show. Talent hunt marks Teej Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, echoed with liveliness as a talent hunt was organised to mark the festival of Teej. Students showcased their talent in dance, singing, skit and giddha competition. The function commenced with a floral welcome to the chief guest, Rajinder Kaur, director, GS Radiators Limited. A tabla player from Holland, Taranpreet Singh, also performed at the event. To promote Punjabi culture, games and stalls, related to Teej, were also set up for students. Principal Inderjit Kaur said by participating in such traditional festivals, we stay connected to our rich culture, heritage and art. Guest speakers of the programme were Praveen Gill from Humber College, Canada; PS Gill, professor at Punjabi University, Patiala; and dietician Ritika Lamba. Gill laid emphasis on the importance of goal setting in life and Lamba highlighted the virtue of exercise and good diet for youngsters. Gurkirat Singh, executive director, GGI, told students learn from their mistakes Aarti held on Janamashtami Janamashtami celebrations were organised with religious fervour at the SDP College for Women by its department of music. The ceremony of Jyoti Prajwalan was performed before commencement of celebrations. Principal Manju Bhashinee wished everyone a happy Janamashtami. Students excel in MBA internships Around 20 students of the 2018-20 MBA and MBA-IB batch of PCTE Group of Institutes have received pre placement offers after completing internships at their respective companies, namely Calvin Klein India, Career Advisor India, Empower Youth, Global Group of Companies, NIA Agro Community, among others. Every year, the number of pre-placement offers received by students at PCTE rises. More than 60 companies visited the campus for recruiting summer interns and all 180 students of MBA and MBA-IB grabbed internships with stipend upto Rs 25000. Companies that had come for placement drive included HDFC Bank, OYO Rooms, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Times of India and Outlook Magazines among others. Gautam Bansal, director, PCTE Group of Institutes, congratulated the students on their achievement. Talent hunt organised at Teej The Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, in collaboration with Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School, Sidhwan Khurd, organised a talent hunt to celebrate the festival of Teej and give students an opportunity to exhibit their talent. Students presented various musical and theatrical items. Stalls of food items and cosmetics were also set up for students. Book exhibition organised Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, organised a two-day book exhibition. Principal Charanjit Mahal inaugurated the exhibition and said books were the mirror to society and played an important role in the intellectual and social development of a person. Meanwhile, declaration of MSc (Physics) Sem-II results by Panjab University, Chandigarh, was a matter of pride for the college as a student, Aishwarya, clinched first position in the college and fifth in the university by securing 79.3 per cent.
