Our Sports CorrespondentLudhiana, August 24The Punjab Softball Association conducted selection trials to select the Punjab men’s team at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Saturday, wherein 26 probables were selected to attend the training/ coaching camp to prepare the team for the ensuing North Zone and Senior National Softball Championships. The selected probables are Jagjit Singh from Gurdaspur; Mandeep Singh, Rupinder Singh and Pankaj Garg from Sangrur; Arun Thakur, Sachin Thakur, Vikramjeet, Saurav, Abhijeet, Rajeev, Kunal Sharma and Dinesh from Ludhiana; Inderbir Singh, Ajay Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Daljeet Singh, Labhpreet Singh and Rohan from Amritsar; Rajit and Pushpinder from Jalandhar; Jagroop and Harpreet from Moga; Gurpreet and Jaspreet Singh from Ferozepur; Amrinder Singh from Mohali. Pran Nath Passi, honorary secretary, Punjab Softball Association, during the conclusion of the preparatory camp said the team would be finalised which would take part in the North Zone Softball Championship to be held at Ferozepur from September 20 to 22 and the Senior National Softball Championship scheduled to be held from October 1 to 5 in Andhra Pradesh.
