Backyard of the shrine remained packed with devotees who squatted for at least one night to appease the Guga Peer. Cops led by SSP Ludhiana (Rural) Sandeep Goyal remained busy reviewing security arrangements for Friday when huge numbers of leaders and activists of various political parties would be attending conferences of their respective parties. Sandeep Goyal said adequate security arrangements had been made to thwart overcrowding and congestion at the venue of the fair. The cops have already started working on a plan drafted for the convenience, safety and security of devotees visiting Guga Mari and surrounding places. “We have drafted the plan after intensively studying and analysing the success reports of security arrangement during the past few years,” said SSP Sandeep Goyal.
