Ludhiana, September 13Health branch of the Municipal Corporation, led by Ashwani Sahota, nodal officer for enforcement of ban on single-use plastic carry bags, today conducted raids at Sabzi Mandi. A team of officials, comprising sanitary inspectors from Zone A, seized a huge quantity of plastic carry bags weighing about two and a half quintals (250 kg) from a horse cart. The person ferrying the bags tried to dump the material on seeing the MC staff and fled the scene.
