Three proclaimed offenders nabbed

Ludhiana, September 13The PO Wing of city police nabbed three proclaimed offenders (POs) who were on the run from a long time. In the first incident, the PO wing nabbed Chandan Bhatti, a resident of Dr Ambedkar Nagar. He was declared PO by the court in August. Inspector Prem Singh, In-charge, PO Wing, said the accused was involved in illegal lottery business. Arora was declared a PO in a cheque bounce case registered against him at Salem Tabri police station in 2016.

In the first incident, the PO wing nabbed Chandan Bhatti, a resident of Dr Ambedkar Nagar. A case was registered against him under the Gambling Act at Model Town police station in 2018. He was declared PO by the court in August. Inspector Prem Singh, In-charge, PO Wing, said the accused was involved in illegal lottery business. In another case, Sukhnand Singh of Satjot Nagar was nabbed. He was declared a PO in drug peddling case registered against him at Dugri police station in 2018. He and his aides were held with 5-gm heroin. Inspector Prem said acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted to nab the accused. The police arrested Gaurav Arora, a resident of Model Gram. Arora was declared a PO in a cheque bounce case registered against him at Salem Tabri police station in 2016. The police produced them before the courts, which sent them to judicial custody. —TNS
