Govt schools gear up for GK quiz on Sept 17

Director SCERT, Inderjeet Singh, in a circular issued said under the Udaan Project, five questions are being sent everyday for Classes VI to XII. Classes have been divided into three groups 6-8, 9-10 and 11-12 and five questions are sent for each group. “The main aim behind sending questions is to enhance the general knowledge of the students. During the September exams, one exam of general knowledge will be taken.

During the September exams, one exam of general knowledge will be taken. The exam will be conducted along with the ongoing half-yearly exams and will be held on September 17 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am,” said Inderjeet Singh. He further said the question paper will be sent on E-Punjab portal on the Udaan link. There will be 50 multiple choice questions in the exam out of which 40 will be from the questions which have been sent to the students from April to date and five questions each will be of Punjabi and English from the ‘word of the day’ that were sent to the students daily. “Sending question papers under Udaan and ‘word of the day’ is a good initiative. Now, we are awaiting the result. In September, only revision of the earlier was carried out,” Harmandeep Kaur, a government school teacher.
