Our CorrespondentKhanna, September 14A solid waste godown situated on the Khanna-Samrala road was gutted in a devastating fire that broke out in the wee hours on Saturday. As per the information, the godown was owned by Satpal Singh of Khanna. He left the godown last night and his two vehicles and one motor cycle also got gutted in the fire. Harkirat Singh, Fire Officer, Samrala, said someone noticed the fire around 1:40 am and they were informed at 3:30 am. Satnam Singh, the owner, said his two vehicles (a truck and a bolero) along with one motorcycle were reduced to ashes in the fire along with other solid waste material.
