CT University establishes centre of tech excellence

Tribune News ServiceLudhiana, September 19CT University (CTU) has established a Centre of Excellence for Blockchain by signing an MoU with Blockchainprep FZE LLC, United Arab Emirates. The blockchain technology created the backbone of a new type of internet. Ravindhar Vadapalli, independent director and business head, Blockchain, said knowledge sharing would be based on student-expert exchange programme. Under the Centre for Excellence, CTU will commence a postgraduate diploma, diploma and certificate programmes in blockchain technology. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor, CTU, said: “This agreement will result into practical-based academic excellence to interested students as per the requirements of industry in blockchain.”

Blockchain allows digital information to be distributed but not copied. The blockchain technology created the backbone of a new type of internet. The centre will impart training in theoretical foundations on scalability and performance trade-offs, concurrent operations, e-ledger, distributed ledger technology (DLTs), robust smart contracts, cryptocurrency and crypto-assets, DLT applications to land management and healthcare. Ravindhar Vadapalli, independent director and business head, Blockchain, said knowledge sharing would be based on student-expert exchange programme. Workshops and would be organised on the university campus. Under the Centre for Excellence, CTU will commence a postgraduate diploma, diploma and certificate programmes in blockchain technology. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor, CTU, said: “This agreement will result into practical-based academic excellence to interested students as per the requirements of industry in blockchain.”
