Sports club to undertake welfare projects

Our CorrespondentMandi Ahmedgarh, September 19Office-bearers and activists of the Kila Raipur Sports and Social Welfare Club (Suhavia Patti) have announced to undertake social welfare projects, besides promoting and organising rural sports, under the banner of Mini-Olympics. The decision was taken during a meeting of the executive body held at Grewal Sports Stadium in Kila Raipur village on Wednesday. Senior vice-president of the club Gurpreet Singh chaired the meeting. Gurjant Singh, secretary of the organisation, said the office-bearers of the executive committee had decided to widen the scope of activities of the organisation and calendar for the regular rural sports fair would be announced soon. Referring to decisions taken in the meeting, Gurjant Singh said, “The meeting resolved that scope of the organisation will be widened by adding talent promotion, help to needy students and cultural events to the main calendar, which will include participation in rural sports fairs being held in other parts of the region.”
