Ludhiana: Three youth attempted to snatch a car from a girl in Phase-1 Dugri on Friday evening. However, the alertness of the girl foiled the attempt and the snatchers had to escape. The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV camera and the police are trying to identify the suspects. The incident occurred at 5:30 pm on Friday, when the girl, a resident of Model Town, came out from a gym and opened the lock of her car. The moment the girl sat in her car, three youngsters, who were already roaming near the car, cornered her. One of them sat in the car, while the two stood outside. When one of the youth tried to snatch the keys of the car, the girl went out of the car and raised an alarm. The accused fled from the spot. SHO Dugri Bittan Kumar said efforts were on to nab the accused.
