5 have booked managers of TRP Spa Centre, near Flamez Mall, on the charge of employing Thailand-based girls without any police verification. Investigation officer, ASI Pardeep Singh, said secret information was received that the spa centre had employed several Thailand-based girls. BRIEFLY Ludhiana: The police Division No. 5 have booked managers of TRP Spa Centre, near Flamez Mall, on the charge of employing Thailand-based girls without any police verification. The suspects have been identified as Manoj Kumar and Balwinder Singh. Manoj has been arrested in the case. Investigation officer, ASI Pardeep Singh, said secret information was received that the spa centre had employed several Thailand-based girls. To employ them, proper police verification was needed, but the suspect failed to comply with the direction and violated orders of the Police Commissioner. A case under Section 188, IPC, has been registered against the suspects. TNS One booked for illegal mining Ludhiana: The PAU police have booked a man on the charge of illegal mining. The suspect has been identified as Bachan Singh, a resident of Kishan Nagar, Partap Singh Wala. Investigation officer, sub-inspector Prem Lal, said on receiving a tip-off about a person stealing sand from Sutlej river and on way to deliver it to his customers, a naka was laid on the Barnahara road where a tractor-trailer was stopped for checking. The driver failed to produce any legal mining slip when asked, he added. After impounding the tractor-trailer, a case under the Mining and Mineral Act was registered against the driver, he said. TNS Ludhiana: The Tibba police have booked a man on the charge of kidnapping a 17-year-old girl on the pretext of marrying her. The suspect has been identified as Amarpal, alias Nikka, of New Shakti Nagar. Complainant Manjit Kaur of same locality told the police that her daughter Sifatjit Kaur (17) had left home on October 12 afternoon. Later, she came to know that her daughter was kidnapped by Amarpal, who wanted to marry her. After registering a case, the police have launched a manhunt to recover the girl. TNS Married woman goes missing Ludhiana: A married woman has gone missing under mysterious circumstances from her home. Sooraj Singh told the police that on October 16 his wife Radha Kumari (23) had gone to Moga. Later, she reached Ludhiana bus stand, but did not return home. Sooraj suspected that she could be under wrongful confinement by some unknown persons. The police have launched a manhunt to trace the woman. TNS
