Online computer quizzes to be held for Class IX, X

The competition at school level will be held on November 2, on November 7 at block level and on November 16 at district level at 11 am. Winner at the district level will be awarded with Rs 1,000. The runner-up will win Rs 700 while the second runner-up will win Rs 500. The school where block-level quiz contest is to be held will be selected by the District Education Officer (DEO).

Students will also be awarded with cash prizes. The competition at school level will be held on November 2, on November 7 at block level and on November 16 at district level at 11 am. Winner at the district level will be awarded with Rs 1,000. The runner-up will win Rs 700 while the second runner-up will win Rs 500. Two students, who will stand first and second, from each school will be selected to participate at the block level. In the next stage, two students will be selected to participate at the district-level quiz contest. The school where block-level quiz contest is to be held will be selected by the District Education Officer (DEO). The quiz competition will be conducted through a specific software and all necessary instructions can be downloaded from the website of the software department. Questions will be provided by the head office on the software and schools will be able to download them only 10 minutes before the stipulated time. Sharda, teacher at a government school, Kheri, said it was a good initiative by the department. “Cash prizes will serve as cherry on the top as students will prepare diligently to win prizes. It is hoped that the contest give positive results,” she said.
