Science, tech reaching people in rural areas, says expert

Dr RC Sobti, Former Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, as the guest speaker, was accorded a warm welcome by Professor Jaswant Singh. Principal Sobti, in his keynote address, said the Indians had been major contributors to the fields of mathematics and science since the earliest of times. The presence and prominence of Indian diaspora globally symbolises the value of their skill world over. He encouraged the youngsters to leave a mark in this field by providing solutions to everyday problems and thus, easing out the lives of people, especially, in rural areas.
