‘Time to strengthen struggle against communal forces’

Mandi Ahmedgarh, Nov 16Office bearers and activists of the Communist Party of India (CPI) led by Charan Singh Sarabha, DP Maur and Dr Arun Mitra paid tributes to martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha and other martyrs associated with the freedom movement of India. During a seminar, speakers, including Sarabha, Maur, Mitra, Ramesh Rattan and Gurzar Goria demanded that ideals of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha and Ghadar movement should be made integral parts of syllabus all over the country. Speakers said it was time to strengthen the struggle against the communal and obscurantist forces and to save our constitution. They recollected that Sarabha had fought against the British imperialism relentlessly and did not bow down to their atrocities or diktats. Referring to the studies made recently, Maur, said economic situation of the nation had turned very grave.

They recollected that Sarabha had fought against the British imperialism relentlessly and did not bow down to their atrocities or diktats. “He was a part of the Ghadar Movement with aim to throw the British imperial power and to build a secular, democratic and a society based on justice and equality,” said Sarabha, maintaining that martyrs preached freedom of all religious beliefs, an end to discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion, gender and financial status. Referring to the studies made recently, Maur, said economic situation of the nation had turned very grave. — OC
