Ludhiana, December 3The department of animal nutrition, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), organised a two-day training in ‘Efficient technologies in pig production’for SC/ST farmers. Maninder Bons, deputy director, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bahowal, said there was a huge potential ahead for rearing pig for pork production in near future. The objective of the training was to discuss balanced feeding of various categories of swine with locally available feed ingredients, use of food and vegetable waste for economical feeding and role of minerals in pig production.
