Mahesh SharmaPayal, December 3Most of the roads in Payal and Malaudh have become totally non-motorable. Payal MLA Lakhvir Singh Lakha said he has asked the officials concerned to undertake repair work at the earliest in both towns. Aggrieved residents said successive governments have failed to construct and repair Malaudh—Kup Road, Bhandewal Bridge—Dhamot Road, Malaudh—Saharanmajra Road and Gosal Road. “Lal Singh has asked the officials in his department to immediately initiate a process to construct roads in Malaudh at a cost of Rs 86 lakh and in Payal for Rs 15 lakh,” said Lakha. The MLA said he would seek more grants for strengthening and improvement of civic amenities, including sewerage and water supply system in Payal.
