Silver jubilee annual functionSilver jubilee annual function of Gur Shakti Public Senior Secondary School, Khamano, was organised on the campus.

SCHOOL NOTES Ludhiana: Isha Sahota, student of Class XI at Sacred Heart Convent School has brought laurels to the school by performing excellently at the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex athletics meet held at Guru Nanak Public School. She won a gold medal in 400-metre race and long jump each. The school overall bagged the second runners-up trophy. GNPS girl second in poster making Jasleen Kaur, student of Class VI at Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, has won the first runner-up position and cash prize of Rs 20,000 at the National Safety Science Campaign organised by Quiz Craft Global Knowledge Private Limited. The National Safety Science Campaign is an inclusive national-level cross disciplinary safety awareness programme which gives children an opportunity to make the world a safer place. At the programme, a poster-making contest was organised, in which 10 posters were selected and then displayed at 10 regional events. The winners were then selected on the basis of a combined score of the judges and public poll. Principal Gurmant Kaur Gill congratulated Jasleen and thanked the organisation for conducting the awareness campaign. Celebrating the ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ campaign, students of BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, conducted an event, in which they exhibited an amalgamation of Telugu and Punjabi music. The show amazed the audience. Students spread the message of oneness through the amalgamation. National Navy Day celebrated National Navy Day was celebrated with much fanfare at BVM, Chandigarh Road, to salute the guardians of sea. The day commenced with a speech on the significance of the day. Students dedicated songs and poems to the navy. An audio-visual presentation on the Trident attack provided a detailed glimpse of the historic event. Road safety awareness seminar BVM, Udham Singh Nagar, in collaboration with Traffic Police, Ludhiana, conducted a session on traffic awareness. The resource person for the seminar was Rajan Sharma, ACP, Traffic Police Zone-II. He projected on various reasons and consequences of road rage. He made students aware about traffic rules and said rules must be followed so that alarming number of road accidents could be minimised. Students were motivated to be courteous and patient while driving to avoid road rage. Principal Bandana Sethi urged students to be the catalyst of change for the betterment of society. Silver jubilee annual function Silver jubilee annual function of Gur Shakti Public Senior Secondary School, Khamano, was organised on the campus. Gurpreet Kaur, wife of MLA Bassi Pathana, was the chief guest. Various cultural items, including poetry, giddha, bhangra and other items were presented by students. Students, who had performed well in sports, academics and co-curricular activities, were honored by the chief guest. Principal Pardeep Shukla appreciated the efforts put in by the faculty and students. TNS
