Ludhiana, December 4 A 16-year-old girl has alleged that her father, mother and brother were among the eight persons, who forced her into prostitution. About a year ago, when she was suffering from stomach ache, her mother Kanchan Verma took her to hospital for check up. On the way Kanchan stopped the auto-rickshaw and called some unknown person and told the victim to accompany him. “The said person instead of taking me to hospital took me to some hotel where he developed physical relations with me against my wishes. When I informed my mother, she did not react and told me to stay mum,” victim told the police. Few days later, Jyoti, victim’s grandmother, took her to her friend Sonia’s house in Kanganwal village where the latter forced her to have sex with 40-year-old man. “Even my brother Khuswinder’s girl friend Shabnam, who also lives in our house, took me to Jagraon. She sent us with some unknown person to the house of Gurpreet Kaur in Jagraon. Gurpreet’s husband raped me there,” the victim alleged. “My father instead of filing a complaint against the persons thrashed me,” the victim stated to the police. The Jagraon city police have registered a case against girl’s father Jasvir Singh, her mother Kanchan Verma, brother Khushwinder Singh and his wife Shabnam, Sonia of Manakwal, Jyoti of Karnail Nagar, Suman of Jagraon and one unknown person. Investigation officer, sub-inspector Kirandeep Kaur, said a case under Sections 376, 506 and 120, IPC, and Sections 3, 4 and 18, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered.
