One held for immigration fraud

The duo faces charges of fraud under section 420, IPC, and section 24 of the Immigration Act for duping Sohan Lal and his friend Satnam Singh, both residents of Bhogpur in Jalandhar. According to the complainant, both he and Satnam had given the suspects Rs 45,000 each for their travel to Kuwait. Meanwhile, the Dugri police have registered a case under sections 420/120-B of the IPC and section 24 of the Immigration Act against Swadesh Bishnoi and Badri Pawar, both residents of Harpalia village in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh for fraud and cheating. “The swindlers failed to arrange for his immigration as promised and when he asked for refund of his money, they issued cheques against the amount paid to them.

The police said Manish had absconded. Meanwhile, the Dugri police have registered a case under sections 420/120-B of the IPC and section 24 of the Immigration Act against Swadesh Bishnoi and Badri Pawar, both residents of Harpalia village in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh for fraud and cheating. The complainant, Sandeep Singh, a resident of Vishal Nagar on Pakhowal Road, told the police that he had paid both MP residents Rs 3,65,000 in February 2018 for a work permit in Singapore. “The swindlers failed to arrange for his immigration as promised and when he asked for refund of his money, they issued cheques against the amount paid to them. But on presentation to the bank, the cheques bounced,” said Sandeep.
