All members of the society, along with the teaching and non teaching staff of the HEIS attended the function. Principal Dharam Singh Sandhu shed light on the contributions of Dr Singh.

The play highlighted the issues of female foeticide, acid attack, domestic violence, rape, molestation and harassment. Giving a tribute to the young veterinarian doctor of Hyderabad, who was raped and burnt alive, students and faculty also gathered for a candle march and presented posters displaying quotes painted by students. Udhaydeep Singh, a second year student of BCA (Honours), presented an emotional note stating “Every religion holds the belief that women must be respected as they are the ones who run society.
