Registration facility initiated in all 38 sewa kendras

Tribune News ServiceLudhiana March 4To facilitate senior citizens and persons with co-morbidities with hassle-free registration on the Co-WIN portal the administration has initiated registration facility for thew Covid-19 jab in all 38 sewa kendras of the district. Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said the registration facility would be offered by the kendras at the charge of Rs30 only. He added that the beneficiaries have to bring their Aadhaar card mobile phone along while visiting kendras and a medical certificate in case of co-morbidities. He also said that the vaccination registration at the sewa kendras was on an OTP system where password would be sent on beneficiaries' phones so all eligible beneficiaries must carry their mobiles while visiting the kendras. The Deputy Commissioner further appealed to all eligible beneficiaries to come forward to get the Covid jab as it would protect them from the infectious disease.

He added that the beneficiaries have to bring their Aadhaar card mobile phone along while visiting kendras and a medical certificate in case of co-morbidities. “People above the age of 60 and those older than 45 with co-morbidities are eligible for the vaccination in this third phase of the drive which began on March 1” he said. He also said that the vaccination registration at the sewa kendras was on an OTP system where password would be sent on beneficiaries phones so all eligible beneficiaries must carry their mobiles while visiting the kendras. The beneficiaries would receive all necessary information regarding their vaccination on their registered mobile numbers. The Deputy Commissioner further appealed to all eligible beneficiaries to come forward to get the Covid jab as it would protect them from the infectious disease. The vaccination is being done at 41 private and 21 government hospitals.
