Man kills wife on suspicion of infidelity

LUDHIANA: A Jagraon resident allegedly killed his 35-year-old wife suspecting her of infidelity.Sadar Police in Jagraon have booked Dinesh Kumar , a migrant worker who originally hailed from Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh , for the crime. They added that Dinesh used to fight with his wife suspecting that she had an extramarital affair.Cops said on late Wednesday evening, the accused fought with his wife and later with his mother as well. The deceased was identified as Jay Maala.Police officials said that Dinesh lived with his mother Lajwanti, wife and children in the house belonging to Sukhdev Singh and his brother Naresh Kumar lived with his family at some distance. A manhunt has been launched to nab him, he added. Following the quarrel, his mother went to Naresh's house.Police officials said when she returned in the morning, she found the body of her daughter-in-law lying on the ground.

They added that she informed the landlord, Sukhdev Singh, who called the cops.Sadar police have booked the accused under Section 302 (murder) of IPC.In-charge at Ghalib police post, Baldev Singh said the accused is yet to be arrested. A manhunt has been launched to nab him, he added.
