Our Correspondent Khanna, April 29 A meeting of Community Police Resource Centre (CPRC), Khanna Police, was held at Khanna under the supervision of Khanna DSP(H) Vikas Sabharwal. The main speaker in the meeting was Khanna SSP Navjot Singh Mahal. Heads and members of all Sanjh Kenders falling in Khanna had participated in the meeting. The SSP, Navjot Singh Mahal, in his address said under the ‘Safe City Project’ the CCTV cameras would be installed at all key points falling under the district. He also said the two-wheelers cannot cover their face, including school and college students. The action was taken to avoid crimes committed by two-wheeler drivers. It had been noticed that many times snatchers and other criminals fled the spot without being identified as they had covered their face. Members of Sankh Kender Khanna, Daljit Shahi, Parvinder Singh Balli, Bibi Rajinder Kaur and other members put forward a number of problems including the matter of stray animals, traffic problem in Khanna, Samrala and Payal . The meeting also decided to launch a initiatives against drugs by organising seminars mainly in schools and colleges.
