Our Sports Correspondent Ludhiana, May 30 A 12 member team (boys and girls) from Punjab will take part in the upcoming Sub-Junior National Triathlon and Aquathlon Championship scheduled to be held at Balewadi, Pune, in Maharashtra on June 3 and 4. These triathletes were selected during the trials conducted by the Punjab Triathlon Association (PTA) at Banasar Bagh Swimming Pool in Sangrur on Sunday, in which 47 aspirants from seven districts took part, according to Balraj Sharma, senior vice-president of the association. Triathletes born in1998, 1999 and 2000 were eligible for trials in group I, while those born in 2001, 2002 and 2003 could attend trials in group II and those born on or after January 1, 2004 could participate in group III. The selection panel included Gurbhagat Singh Sandhu, general secretary of PTA; Balbir Singh, William Jeji, Jaspreet Singh and Gurinder Singh. Chandan Mahajan and Urvashi, both from Pathankot will accompany the contingent as managers. Those selected are: Aquathlon (boys group I): Sukhmanpreet Singh of Sangrur, Gobind Singh of Faridkot and Parth Chatrath of Pathankot Group II: Akashdeep Singh of Sangrur and Satyam of Pathankot Group III- Diljeet Singh of Sangrur Aquathlon (girls group I): Anjali and Kajal of Pathankot Group II: Kiran Kumari and Kriti Dhiman of Pathankot Group III: Kirti of Ludhiana and Aaliya of Pathankot
