The novel is written in a simple style and provides evocative details along with the presentation of certain social issues from new perspectives. It brings out the cultural history of contemporary social reality of India and Punjab. Principal, DAV College, Jalandhar, SK Arora said, “NK Neb, before writing this novel, has been engaged in critical writings. All this has been depicted with pointed references to the trouble-torn times in Punjab,” shared Toor.
