Gore Lal, a resident of Nanak Nagar Mohalla, said four youths, on two motorcycles, intercepted him at a fuel station. One of them pulled out a revolver and threatened to kill him. They snatched his bag that contained Rs 30,000 cash and a machine. The Salem Tabri police have booked four unidentified persons for theft, criminal intimidation and under Section 25, 27, 54, 59 of the Arms Act. Work on bridge to start soon: DC Ludhiana: Work on the Jagraon Bridge will be started soon. An amount of Rs 26.17 crore has been sanctioned for its repair and construction. Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Aggarwal said the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board had also given funds to the Punjab Infrastructure Municipal Development Agency in this regard. “Soon, a meeting with officials of the Municipal Corporation will be held, so work on the bridge can be started soon,” said Aggarwal. On Sunday, around 50-60 residents gathered on the bridge and mourned its symbolic death.
