The court directed that no action shall be initiated against Sathiyapriya until further orders. The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday adjourned hearing of the advance bail plea of R. Sathiyapriya, who claims to be the second wife of B. Ramasamy, who is married to Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa, and directed notice to the Delhi police. Justice G. R. Swaminathan sought a response from the North Avenue Police Station, New Delhi, and adjourned the case to June 6. Ramasamy had filed a complaint with Delhi police alleging that Sathiyapriya tortured his daughter from his first wife. Refuting the charges, she claimed that it was an ill-motivated complaint made and she always treated her stepdaughter as her own.
