MaduraiThe Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Friday granted an interim injunction against a tender notification issued for acquisition of lands for an oil pipeline project in Thoothukudi. Only if the names of land owners and survey numbers were made part of the notification, objections could be raised, he asserted. Justice J. Nisha Banu granted a stay on the notification and directed notice to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Indian Oil Corporation and Thoothukudi district authorities. The petitioner, P. Ravindranath Reddy of Continental Multi Modal Terminal, said that the company had intended to establish a logistics park in Thoothukudi and had bought land.
