Every year, on the fifth day of the Brahmotsavam, the garlands and other exclusive vasthrams from the Andal temple would be adorned during the Garuda seva and Mohini alangaram for urchavar and during the Thomala Seva for Moolavar at the Tirumala hills. A senior bhattar Rengarajan alias Ramesh from the temple has been entrusted with the task of carrying the garlands, which would be presented to the Lord Venkatesa Perumal on Monday, Fit Person K. Ravichandran and Executive Officer A. Illangovan told reporters. The function was marked by special pujas and rituals here on Saturday.
