THOOTHUKUDIThe State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has summoned Lois Sofia’s father in connection with his complaint that the police violated human rights while arresting his daughter. He had filed a complaint with the SHRC alleging human rights violations during Ms. Sofia’s arrest for raising slogans against the BJP in the presence of party’s State president Tamilisai Soundararajan onboard a flight and at the airport here. Dr. A.A. Samy has been asked to appear before the Commission at the Circuit House in Tirunelveli on September 24.
