Hundreds of people, cutting across religions lines, offered worship at the Lady of Our Rosary Church here as the annual 13-day feast of Our Lady of Rosary celebrations drew to close on Saturday with car procession after the Eucharistic ceremony. The car procession passed through on the main thoroughfares as the people received the blessings of Our Lady of Rosary. The festival began on October 5 with flag hoisting by Rev Fr Packianathan. The Ramanathapuram parish was one of the oldest parishes started in 1846, after which, a small Church was built in Gothic architecture and dedicated to Our Lady of Rosary in 1892, Church authorities said. Rev Fr Louis Levil had served as parish priest for 13 years and the grotto for Mother Mary built by him stood as a monument.
